South Canyon cleanup collects ton of trash

The city of Glenwood Springs would like to thank the five individuals who worked on Saturday, April 15, to clean up debris along the road leading to the South Canyon Landfill. Close to 2,000 pounds of trash, 25 tires and six appliances were gathered and taken to the landfill.

Anthony Marriott, Jared Berman, Hays Lewis, Alaina Smith and Sydney N. showed great community spirit in performing the cleanup and properly disposing of the items others had chosen to improperly dump.

It was a nice effort leading into Earth Day on April 22.
