Clough Family Foundation helps Rifle Heritage Center

The Rifle Heritage Center would like to send a big thank-you to the Clough Family Foundation for the most gracious and generous donation to help us with bringing our old building up to a more user friendly facility.

We are ever so grateful for the folks in our community who see the value in keeping our museum up and running and open to the public.

Vets’ Thanksgiving dinner another resounding success

This year’s edition of our annual Thanksgiving dinner for veterans and seniors went off without a hitch. We were able to provide a delicious feast to many valuable members of our community, and all of us here at Cheryl&Co. Real Estate would like to thank our friends and sponsors who made this event possible: City Market, Al and Jackie George, Grand River Health Cafe, Christian Harra and the Miner’s Claim, Chief Levi Burris, Mamm Creek 4-H, Antonelli Family and Holy Cow Packing, Canyon Cleaners, Aron Diaz and 1423 Consulting, Wal-Mart, Grand River Fire and Rescue and Marsha Durnill. We couldn’t have done it without you.

Merry Christmas, and we hope to see you all next year.

Love,

Cheryl Chandler

Silt Historical Park will miss La Verne (Bubbles) Starbuck

The Silt Historical Park board would like to express its sorrow at the passing of La Verne (Bubbles) Starbuck. Bubbles was a good friend to the Historical Park, and we are humbled and grateful that she would ask that donations in lieu of flowers be made to the park in her name.

We would like to thank Bubbles’ friends and family for their great generosity, and let them know that the park will continue to educate its visitors about the pioneer spirit that built the Grand Valley and was exemplified by La Verne and Frank Starbuck.
