Habitat family acknowledges help

Our family is halfway through building a Habitat for Humanity house in Keator Grove in Carbondale. Overall it’s been quite an amazing learning experience and a personal journey toward owning our own home. Carbondale is an exceptional place to live, and we feel so grateful to call this home. We can’t thank this community enough for all you have done for our family.

We’d like to publicly acknowledge and give a heartfelt thanks to all the volunteers, friends and businesses who have spent their weekends working beside us each step of the way over the past six months. Please continue to watch the paper for a move-in photo, and we hope you will all join us for a house-warming celebration sometime this summer.

With overwhelming thanks,

The Davis family,

Noah, Danika, Dewey and Petunia
