The Women’s Auxiliary of the American Legion Post 100 in Carbondale would like to thank some businesses and people for donations for our stuffing the stockings for our veterans home in Rifle:
Caldwell Mason Morse Carbondale, Sunlight Mountain, Aspen Mountain, Beer Works, Glenwood Insurance, Mary Scheurich, Bonnie Welch, Dave Waller, Lindsey Harder Racket, John Howorth and the community. The support from our valley was great. We could not have done it without you.
We delivered them on Dec. 17 along with appetizers.

Chavez family humbled in difficult time
The family of Criselda Chavez would like to thank all who said prayers for us, who sent sympathy cards, brought food to our homes, and food for the luncheon.
Thank you to St. Mary Church funeral dinners group, who prepared the wonderful food for the luncheon, which was enjoyed after the service.
We would also like to say a special thank-you to the Rifle Funeral Home for taking care of arrangements and making the day special for us and our mother.
Thank you all who attended her funeral in thought or in person.
Our family is truly humbled by the acts of kindness that everyone showed us during this difficult time. Our mother will be missed but will remain in our hearts forever.
Gould family grateful for love, kindness and compassion
The family of Norman Gould would like to thank all of the wonderful caregivers, staff and volunteers at Renew Roaring Fork, formally known as Peregrine Memory Care Facility, and Homecare and Hospice of the Valley. It was comforting to know that Norman had a dedicated team to look after his needs with the dignity he so deserved. We are grateful for the love, kindness and compassion you shared with all of us. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts, and, as Norman would say, “God bless you.”
