Empty Bowls a fulfilling experience

To all the friends/supporters of Grand River Meals on Wheels: 530 bowls and 37 gallons of soup later, Empty Bowls helped Grand River Meals on Wheels provide 2,500 meals (over $10,000 profit) for the homebound seniors in western Garfield County last week.

Thank you to all that attended (meaning all 400 of you) and a huge thanks to Michelle McCurdy and the CMC Ceramics enclave who came through brilliantly to provide those hundreds of bowls and to Patrick Aulik (and Nikita Sullivant) and the CMC Culinary Arts students who whipped together the six different soups.

Thank you extends to those who showed up, bought bowls (and silent auction items), and shared in the community over a simple bowl of soup. This event continues to feed my soul. Until next year then.

Cutest Couple appreciates honor

Victor and I want to thank all who congratulated us as the Post Independent’s Cutest Couple. There were so many cute couples to choose from so what can we say as an older couple, but thank you very much. We would like to let all the others know they were the cutest. A special thank-you for the Post Independent with regards to our interview and content itself.

Much appreciation

Lois and Victor Gabossi
