Hubbard Mesa Clean Up a huge success

On behalf of the White River Trail Runners ATV/UTV Club, I would like to thank the nearly 30 volunteers who braved the rain to help with this year’s Annual Hubbard Mesa Clean Up. Along with the Hi Country 4Wheelers Club, we picked up two 40-yard dumpsters full of trash and over 70 tires. Thank you MRI, Redi Services LLC, Casey Concrete, Hi Country 4Wheelers, and the BLM for the clean, dry restrooms. See you next year.

Great show by the symphony

If you didn’t get to the Symphony of the Valley concert this past weekend you missed a real treat. Although the numbers are small, the talent is large. You would have thought the guest pianist, Amanda Gessler, had two sets of hands the way her fingers tore up and down the keyboard. The soloists, Stephanie Askew and Frank Breslin, singing excerpts from “The Marriage of Figaro,” were the best. One could almost think you were sitting in the audience at the Metropolitan Opera House. Do yourself a favor, and the next time our local symphony performs … go.
