Readers Say Thanks
Thanks for your support and hard work
For 16 years the Roaring Fork Women’s Tri Team has been supported by the best sponsors and volunteers in the world to help women in the Roaring Fork Valley gain fitness and health through triathlon training.
This year we thank Dalby Wendland and Company, Alpine Bank, Glenwood Hot Springs, Glenwood Medical Associates, Sunshine Travel, Great Western Paining, Salon Sublime, Cardiff Therapy, Inc, Clydes Customs, Glenwood Community Center, Sunlight Ski and Sports, and Independence Run and Hike.
Our swim staff deserve immense thanks for keeping us trained and safe in both the pool and open water. Thank you Kathy Westley, Jim VanMeter, Mary Jay, and Paul Salmen. Our families volunteered at Harvey Gap whenever we needed them in particular Robert Nelson, David Fishman, Howard Jay, Thomas Williams, Bryan Avery, Dana Chiapinelli, and all our Mini Tri family volunteers.
Our assistant run/bike staff deserve great appreciation for those dark-thirty workouts. Thank you Carol McCurry, Heidi Halladay, Katie Soden, Carla Westerman, Kristi Nicholls, Sharma Phillips and Amy Spradlin.
Participate in The Longevity Project
The Longevity Project is an annual campaign to help educate readers about what it takes to live a long, fulfilling life in our valley. This year Kevin shares his story of hope and celebration of life with his presentation Cracked, Not Broken as we explore the critical and relevant topic of mental health.
Most of all thank you to the 55 women on the 2015 Team who took a leap of faith to join the team and let us coach them through the rigors of swim, bike, run/walk training. Remember team, reach for the stars, but know you already are one!

Awesome customer service
I would like to say a big thank you to Zales for its awesome customer service. The manager, Travis, went above and beyond to correct a repair order that was mistakenly messed up. For that I say thank you. I will continue to make my jewelry purchases at Zales in the Glenwood mall. You guys rock!
