Thank you for supporting Anderson family

Thank you seems so inadequate for all that we have experienced and received as the community of Rifle has rallied around the family of Austin John Knox. Prayers, hugs, phone calls, food from each and everyone of you. A special thank you to: Jon Phillips (Church of Christ); Rick and Geneva Jar; New Creations; Patti and Ronnie Fazzie; Amber Nicole Clemons; Doose family; Kristi Kirpatric; Johnson family; Jake, Dillon, Shawn, Fanzo, Fuzzi, Jessica and many others; Ladies from Pottery especially Michelle; Benson family; Knox family; Perma Chink; Erin Reider; Action Shop; Subway (Mike Higginbotham); Rifle High School; Micro Plastics; City Hall; City Market; Shooters; Melissa Statler; and Jean’s Printing.

Thank you to all who donated food and time for Austin’s Celebration of Life and Potluck.

I’ve missed some I’m sure, but please all feel a special thank you from our hearts at this time of loss. In leaving for Oregon I take with me many blessings from each of you and wonderful new friendships and “grandkids.”

Please keep Austin and his smile alive in your hearts and conversations. Love on my Kim, Amber, Sky, and Jack for me. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

GSHS discus area receives an upgrade

The future track & field athletes that utilize the discus area at Glenwood Springs High School will benefit from substantial improvements made to the facility this summer. This project was completed on a volunteer basis and those involved need to be recognized.

Thank you first and foremost to Larry Thrun of Sunlight Structures, Inc. Larry and his son, Matthew, performed the majority of the labor involved with excavation, framing, prepping and pouring concrete. The equipment needed for the project was donated by Roaring Fork Rentals. Thank you to Fran Orosz for your generosity and contribution to the project. Finally, thank you to Casey Concrete for donating the concrete to form the new walkway and entry for the discus facility. This company will often step up to assist with community projects.
