An inaugural Lego Robotics team of fifth-graders from Glenwood Springs Elementary School recently competed at the state Lego meet against 71 teams. They received a second place trophy in the Core Values category of the competition and 18th overall in the Robot competition. This was a pretty astounding performance given that this was their first year and that they are young (mostly 10-year-olds) in this FLL Lego League comprising 9- to 14-year-olds. They competed against mostly middle school teams.
