Registration for Roaring Fork Women’s Tri Team opens March 7

Registration for the 18th annual Roaring Fork Women’s Triathlon Team opens Tuesday, March 7, at http://www.roaringforktriteam.com. The training program promotes fun, fitness and philanthropy in a cooperative environment by learning the basics of swim, bike, run/walking to complete a sprint triathlon. Participants meet twice weekly beginning in May for 14 weeks and culminate the summer in August with a field trip to Denver to complete the Tri for the Cure Triathlon. Living Well, Dying Well

High Country RSVP presents an engaging, interactive discussion and presentation about how we want to live until we die, from 9 a.m. to noon Wednesday, March 8, at Colorado Mountain College, 1402 Blake Ave., Glenwood Springs. Participants will receive tools and resources for bringing family together to talk about their future medical care. Be prepared to complete medical wishes using a medical power of attorney (forms provided). Desired reading before the presentation: Atul Gawande – Being Mortal. The speaker is Rachel Menke, NP with Hospice of the Valley. This is a free presentation and walk-ins are welcome but register by calling 945-7486 or online at coloradomtn.edu.
