Another mudslide — this one closes Loveland Pass

Colorado Department of Transportation crews were working Tuesday evening at US 6/Loveland Pass mile marker 219 to clear a mudslide that occurred around 4 p.m.

Crews reported approximately 7 feet of debris on the center line of the road. The slide stretches about 75 feet.

CDOT geo tech crews went to the site to evaluate the stability of the slope where debris slid from about 150 feet up from the roadway. The pass was closed Tuesday evening and was expected to remain closed overnight for clean-up.
