Antero rig to roll this week

SILT, Colorado – Antero Resources, a gas drilling company, announced on Monday that a drilling rig will be moved later this week on the roads south of Silt.

The move will take place some time between Thursday and Sunday on Garfield County Roads 331 and 335, according to an announcement from Community Counts relayed by Denice Brown of the Garfield County oil and gas liaison office.

The rig, known as Frontier 12, is being moved from the O’Toole A pad to the Valley Farms 1 pad, according to Community Counts, an industry information clearinghouse.

An electronic billboard will be posted in the area to advise the public of the activity, Brown reported.
