Apply `Moo-logic’ to Moolick

Dear Editor,

Having read most of Mr. Moolick’s letters of the past year, I’ve noticed he seems to have a problem with anyone who supports clean renewable energy and has anything bad to say about fossil fuel consumption.

Few people will dispute the fact that fossil fuel consumption is responsible for most of our increasingly smoggy skies, most of our water pollution, most of our visual and noise pollution, not to mention its impact on foreign policy and national security issues. Even after all of this, Mr. Moolick relentlessly tries to ennoble our wasteful use of fossil fuels.

He has a very predictable way of attempting to quiet his opposition with that “love or leave it” philosophy that, frankly, is somewhat played out.

By Mr. Moolick’s logic, these people are “ding-a-lings” or “radicals” and should “show their sincerity by turning off their gas and electricity and get rid of their cars.” Fair enough!

So, if I were to use Mr. Moolock’s logic, better known as Moo-logic, maybe he should show us his sincerity by asking one of those gas drilling rigs to set up shop next to his home, preferably up wind, and above his water source, or board up all his south-facing windows, or better still, join the front lines in Iraq.
