April dollars up in Garfield County real estate
Garfield County real estate data derived from the County Clerk and Recorder’s Office show that both dollars and transactions are up from last month.
Of course, an increase was anticipated due to the seasonality of the business. April totaled $20,680,100, which is nearly double the dollar total of March’s approximately $10.8 million. April also represents the strongest month this year in dollars.
The year-to-date dollar totals for Garfield County is $62,208,600, which represents a decrease just shy of 80 percent from last year for same time period.
Transactions were also up for the month of April, with a total of 43. This is an increase of 30 percent from March’s 33. While the leading month in transactions is still February, with 46, April is a close second. Year to date in Garfield County there have been 160 transactions, which represents a decrease of approximately 73 percent from the same time period in 2008.
