Auditions for CMC TheatreCMC Theatre will hold auditions for “Scapin” by Bill Irwin and Mark O’Donnell at 6:30 p.m. Thursday and Sept. 6 in the New Space Theatre, Calaway Building, CMC Spring Valley. Call Tom Cochran at 947-8252 for more information.Countywide emergency trainingDuring the month of September, Emergency Medical Service providers in Garfield County, in coordination with Valley View Hospital and Grand River Medical Center, will engage in a countywide training. In September, all patients transported to either Valley View Hospital or Grand River Medical Center will be triaged in the field. This training period allows both hospital and prehospital care providers to gain firsthand knowledge and allow agencies to improve their triage process.Advocate Safehouse Project seeks volunteersSurvivors of domestic violence could really use your help, and the Advocate Safehouse Project still has space available in their fall volunteer training program. The free 30-hour training begins Sept. 21 and will be from 6-9 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday evenings, and will include one Saturday. Bilingual volunteers are strongly encouraged to participate.Call Julia at 945-2632 for more information.Jobs needed for studentsThe Glenwood Springs High School Alternative Cooperative Education coordinator is seeking employment opportunities for high school students. Jobs must provide students with at least 20 hours of work per week.
