The Glenwood Springers Track Club will have an informational meeting at Glenwood Elementary School in the Bolitho building at 6 p.m. on May 13. The club is all area youth 8 to 18 years old.

Lakota Canyon Ranch Golf Club is holding Friday night couples tournaments over the next several months.
The tournaments, which begin May 14, tee off with a 5 p.m. shotgun start. Tournament dates are: May 14 (sign up before May 7), June 18 (sign up before June 11), July 16 (sign up before July 9), Aug. 20 (sign up before Aug. 13) and Sept. 17 (sign up before Sept. 10).
Men will play from the blue tees. Women will play from the red tees.
Handicaps will be used, so be sure to have an established handicap before the first tournament.
For $5 per person, hors d’oeuvres will be served at the clubhouse after the tourneys as winners are announced.

It’s time to sign up for the Emily Johnson Play it Forward 3v3 Soccer tournament. Round up six players for the June 5-6 tournament at Gates Soccer Park (located at CMC’s Spring Valley Campus).
Girls and boys teams in the U8 to U18 age divisions, as well as co-ed adult teams, are welcome to sign up. There are both recreational and competitive brackets.
Proceeds benefit two scholarships for Coal Ridge seniors, as well as a new scholarship for a soccer player from the other high schools in our valley (from Parachute to Aspen) who shares the same passion that Emily had in the sport that she loved.

Glenwood Springs Soccer Club is hosting a players clinic on May 16. The clinic runs from 1-4 p.m. ($30) and is for kids 7 to 14 years old. A coaching clinic from 4:30-6 p.m. ($20) follows.
The clinic will be held at Glenwood Park soccer field and registration is available on the soccer website (www.glenwoodsoccer.org) or by calling the club office at 945-6091.
The 12th annual Glenwood Springs Invitational soccer tournament will be held at Gates Soccer Complex May 29-30.
Registration is underway for boys and girls teams in the U10-U14 age brackets.

The MS 5K Run takes place May 15 at the No Name rest area at 8 a.m. A pancake breakfast starts at 7:30 a.m.
Entertainment will be provided by Defiance Stringband, Cookie the Clown, Glenwood Springs High School’s cheerleaders, Glenwood Percussion Ensemble and more.

Glenwood Defiance Rugby is ready to kick off training for its upcoming season.
Training will be held at Glenwood Park at 7 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays, starting May 11. No experience is necessary and players of all skill levels are invited to play.
