Arizona Governor comes to Glenwood to support Obama

GLENWOOD SPRINGS, Colorado ” Arizona Gov. Janet Napolitano will visit Glenwood Springs today to campaign for presidential candidate Barack Obama.

The Garfield County Democratic Party and the Obama Campaign for Change will host an event at the Hotel Colorado, 526 Pine St., where Napolitano will conduct a discussion about the American economy.

It’s set to begin about 2:45 p.m., according to the Garfield County Democratic Party. No tickets are required to attend the event.

Napolitano, the governor of the state Republican presidential candidate John McCain represents in the U.S. Senate, was one of the first governors to endorse Obama. She also serves as co-chair of the national Obama campaign.

“Governor Napolitano is coming to Glenwood Springs because the Obama Campaign knows how important this County is to an Obama-Biden victory in Colorado,” said Ed Sands, chair of the Garfield County Democratic Party.
