Back off DDA, CMC

Dear Editor:

What is up with Colorado Mountain College? Does downtown Glenwood have to be destitute to justify the Downtown Development Authority and appropriate funding? We were all so delighted to finally have a DDA and now Colorado Mountain College wants to bully it out of receiving the TIF (tax increment financing).

Taxpayers will pay for any lawsuit; in fact, we will pay for both sides. We will be the losers no matter what the outcome.

We implore the Board of Trustees to reconsider this inappropriate lawsuit.
