Bail set at $500,000 in Mesa County crash
GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (AP) ” A magistrate has set bail at $500,000 for a man arrested on a charge of fatal child abuse after a head-on collision.
Police say 24-year-old Logan Lage was trying to elude a state trooper on November 6th when he hit a car driven by Shea Lehnen of Collbran.
Hospital officials say Lehnen was 8 1-2 months pregnant and lost her unborn baby in the crash.
Lehnen apparently has been released. Her 1-year-old son suffered minor injuries.
Lage suffered neck fractures and other injuries. He was arrested on Friday when he was released from the hospital.
Colorado Bureau of Investigation records indicate he was on probation on methamphetamine and marijuana charges.
