Betsy Rosolack
Glenwood Springs, CO Colorado
Betsy was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota, to Lewis and Augusta Peterson. After studying architecture at the University of Minnesota, she married John Rosolack in 1951 in Minneapolis. They moved to Grand Junction, Colorado, and then to Aspen in 1962. She loved the wildflowers in Colorado! The Rosolacks moved to Vail in 1979.
Betsy moved back into the valley about 10 years ago.
Betsy loved to teach children, hike, ski and fly fish. She claimed to have been offered a fly-fishing guide job at age 76. She donated time and money to environmental, educational and charitable causes. She made friends easily and made others feel special.
She is survived by sisters Dorys Braden, Bunny Hane and Fern Newman; son Eric Rosolack; and daughters Gretchen Rosolack and Tina Traxler.
A memorial will be held Saturday, March 10, 2012, at 2 p.m. at Third Street Center, 520 S. Third St., Carbondale. Cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of the Valley.
