Betty Jo Baker Bissing

Betty Jo was born in Ellington, Missouri to Ada Allison Baker and Grover J. Baker.

She married Franklin E. Bissing in 1947 in Glendale, California. Betty owned the Dairy Kreme, located next door to her husband’s Chevron station in Glenwood Springs for many years. They retired in Mesa, Arizona in 1980.

She was preceded in death by her late husband; her daughter Terri Bissing; and her son Lynn Bissing. Both children were killed as young adults in separate tragic accidents. She is survived by eight nieces and nephews and numerous great-nieces and -nephews.



A memorial was already held at her home in Mesa. Funeral services will be held at Rosebud Cemetery at a later date.

Memorial gifts may be directed to Hospice of the Valley, Mesa, Arizona.
