Betty M. Baldwin

Betty M. Baldwin, 83, passed away May 8, 2007, at the Veterans State Nursing Home in Rifle.Betty was born Nov. 7, 1923, in Grand Valley, to Carl Julius and Lila M. (Elder) Freeman. She married Everett Baldwin Nov. 9, 1945. Betty was an area resident all her life, and was a member of the Grand Valley Methodist Church in Parachute, a member of the Grand Valley Historical Society, a former member of Garfield County Senior Housing Authority, and numerous other community organizations.Betty is survived by sons Ray and Tim Baldwin; sisters Louise Osborn and Dorothy (Nadine) Mueller; and grandchildren Zach and Courtney Baldwin.Betty was preceded in death by her husband.A memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, May 11, at the Grand Valley Methodist Church, 132 Parachute Avenue.The family suggests memorials be made to Grand Valley Historical Society, P.O. Box 363, Parachute, CO 81635.Rifle Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
