Beverly Jean Blackwell, 77 passed away on Jan. 25 in her home in Fruita.

She was a mail carrier for the United States Postal Service. She is survived by her husband, Billy Blackwell; sons, Michael Betts, Houston, Donald Asnicar of Mancos, Victor Blackwell of Mesa, Ariz., Mark Blackwell of Scottsdale, Ariz., Billy Blackwell Jr. of Vian, Okla.; daughters, Linda Hedge of Dinosaur, Tina Shiflet of New Castle, Sherry Bier of Granada Hills, Calif., Lynette Seeger of Tempe, Ariz., brothers, Robert Walker of San Diego, Calif., Eddie Blackwell of Tulsa, Okla., Richard Blackwell, Russell Blackwell both of Apache Junction, Ariz., sisters, Annabelle Walker of Denver, Shirley Blount of Mesa, Ariz., Patricia Mills of Apache Junction, Ariz., Deborah Leach of Tonopah, Ariz., 36 grandchildren, eight great great grandchildren.

A private family service will take place. Memorial contributions can be made to American Cancer Society or Royce Hearst Animal Shelter.
