Billie Monroe Vanbeber

Billie Monroe Vanbeber of Rifle died Saturday, March 15, 2003, at the E. Dene Moore Nursing Home in Rifle. He was 70.

He was born May 10, 1932, in La Junta to Ethel Ratliff and Walter Vanbeber.

Mr. Vanbeber served in the Army and Navy during the Korean War.



He married Della C. Mestas on Oct. 28, 1958.

He was a member of the Baptist faith and the Veterans of Foreign Wars.



Mr. Vanbeber was preceded in death by a brother, Edgar Vanbeber.

He is survived by his wife, Della Vanbeber of Rifle; by a stepson and stepdaughter-in-law, Darryl B. and Darlene Hittle of Barnesville, Ohio; and by sisters and brother-in-law Hellen Poulson of Sequim, Wash., and Inez and William Hergett of Bryan’s Road, Md.

Cremation has taken place and no services are planned at this time.

Rifle Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
