BLM advisory group to meet in Glenwood

The U.S. Bureau of Land Management’s Northwest Resource Advisory Council (RAC) will meet Nov. 15 in Glenwood Springs at the Community Center, 100 Wulfsohn Road.The meeting will begin at 8 a.m. and is scheduled to adjourn at 3 p.m. It is open to the public, with public comment periods scheduled for 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.The rest of the schedule includes:• 8:15 a.m., field manager updates, White River, Kremmling, Little Snake field offices.• 9:30 a.m., field manager updates, Grand Junction and Glenwood Springs field offices.• 10:15 a.m., a discussion on reasonable foreseeable energy development.• 11:15 a.m., RAC resource management plan updates for Glenwood, Kremmling, White River field offices.• noon, John Harpole of Mercator Energy speaks on “Natural Gas: From Western Colorado to Western Europe.” • 1 p.m., update on an ongoing oil and gas reclamation study. • 2:15 p.m., presentation on the basics of federal oil and gas leasing.
