BLM’s Advisory Council to discuss gas leasing, sage grouse
GRAND JUNCTION, Colorado – The Bureau of Land Management’s Northwest Colorado Resource Advisory Council will meet in Grand Junction to discuss the agency’s White River Oil and Gas Resource Management Plan Amendment and to hear an update on the northwest Colorado sage grouse environmental study.
The meeting is set for 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 29, at the Hampton Inn, 205 Main St. Public comment periods are set for 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.

Glenwood Springs hopes more Hanging Lake hikers will hang out downtown
Over 75,000 hikers visited Hanging Lake during this year’s peak season. Via signage, the city hopes to point more of those hikers also in the direction of downtown Glenwood Springs.
