The third annual KDNK Blues and BBQ Fest returns to Carbondale, featuring barbecue, fresh local beef, beer from Tommyknocker Brewery and live music.The event takes place from 2-9 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 13, on Main Street in Carbondale. The Gamble Brothers from New Orleans will play funky R&B, and opening band Hosty Duo will feature foot-stomping, Mississippi-style blues.This years fest will feature cooking demonstrations by chefs from phat thai and Russets, along with a talk and demonstration from Eugenia Bone, a Food and Wine and Gourmet magazine food writer. Bones book, At Mesas End, Cooking and Ranching in Colorados North Fork Valley, is a celebration of everything local, and a reminder that the best food is available in a persons back yard.
