Board to discuss high school attendance line

A line determining which students go to Coal Ridge High School and which stay at Rifle High School could be changed.Tuesday, the Garfield School District board will talk about whether to move the attendance line. Currently, the line falls on Miller Lane but may move closer to Silt to prevent overflowing Coal Ridge High School. The board first discussed the possible change two weeks ago. Board members requested more information from the transportation department and hopes to have questions answered Tuesday evening.The board will talk about the Coal Ridge attendance issue around 8 p.m.Contact Ivy Vogel: 945-8515, ext. 534ivogel@postindependent.comThe board will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 28, in the Media Center at Roy Moore Elementary in Silt.
