Body found in orchard identified as Aurora woman

GLENWOOD SPRINGS – The body discovered in an apple orchard in the Canyon Creek area has been identified as 38-year-old Janine Ann Johler of Aurora.

According to a press release e-mailed late last night by the Garfield County Sheriff’s Office, the human remains were positively identified as the victim of the homicide. The woman’s identity was obtained through fingerprints.

The Garfield County Sheriff’s Office is working in conjunction with the Aurora Police Department to continue with the investigation.

According to the press release, the investigation remains active and there would be no other information released at this time. The press release also stated that no personal interviews would be given by any Sheriff’s Office personnel.
