Brian Cousins, River Valley Ranch Golf Club, Carbondale

Describe your course in your own words: RVR is the kind of course that you can see all the trouble before you play it. Its not tricked up, just out there in front of you. If you play well, you will shoot a good number. If dont you will be penalized. What is your favorite hole or feature of your course? My favorite feature is on pretty much every hole on golf course. Its just such a breathtaking view of Mount Sopris. What distinguishes your course from any other? We just started new program trying to cater toward locals with price structure now. This year we just started to attract locals, whereas last couple years locals wouldnt play here because it was $90 in peak season for anybody to play. Now, if youre resident of Garfield, Eagle, Pitkin or Gunnison county its $39 to walk, $49 to ride from day to open to last day of the season. Were trying to cater toward the locals and get a local following. Please describe a great hole-in-one from recent memory: Larry Klahn he got a hole-in-one on 13th hole which plays 160 yards on April 17.
