Bush’s Thanksgiving trip leaves liberal media speechless
Dear Editor,
As I sit typing this letter, I see so clearly in my mind the vision of our president walking out in front of our troops in Baghdad on Thanksgiving Day. With tears in his eyes and in many of the eyes of our troops, he declared we are here to stay. We will not be run off by a bunch of thugs and murderers.
What a morale booster for our guys and gals who have taken down the Saddam regime. And what a message to the entire Middle East. We mean business. We will not cut and run.
This is a message the Arab world can understand. No ifs, ands or buts about it.
This was also a brilliant political move. The liberal media can’t ignore this story like they have most of the positive aspects of the conflict in Iraq.
It also upstaged Hillary Clinton, who was set to visit the troops, also. Bravo, Mr. President.
The silence in the liberal media is deafening.
On a personal note, my wife and I have a son in the Marines. He returned from Iraq in July. We found out on Thanksgiving Day that he is going back in February. Possibly for a year.
We are very proud of him. We are proud of all our troops. We are proud of our president. May God bless all of them, and may God bless this wonderful country.
