Cheryl Chandler, broker associate of Re/Max Country, recently attended the Western Slope Real Estate Update seminar, which was hosted by Franklin L. Burns School of Real Estate and Construction Management and sponsored by Stewart Title. The seminar covered economic development for Garfield, Mesa and Delta counties and the impact of oil and gas on county government.

Kevin Schneider, owner of the Glenwood Canyon Resort in No Name, was this month appointed to the board of the state tourism office. The Colorado Tourism Office board consists of four legislators and 11 members who represent different sectors of the tourism industry. In a press release, Schneider called it an honor to sit on the board, adding that promoting tourism throughout Colorado benefits all the region’s communities. Schneider is also a member of the Colorado River Outfitters Association Board, the Colorado Rafting Association and the Glenwood Springs Tourism Board.
