Jean Hermanson, executive director of the American Red Cross, Western Colorado Chapter, recently presented an award to Alpine Bank Chairman Bob Young representing the immense community and Alpine Bank employee support for Hurricane Katrina efforts. Donations nearing $400,000 were raised and contributed to the American Red Cross.The American Red Cross Western Colorado Chapter offers immediate emergency assistance throughout a 10-county area and provides health and safety educational programs, and training to interested community members.
