Glenwood Canyon Brewing Co. recently claimed two gold medals in the Brew Association World Beer Cup 2006.Glenwood Canyon Brewing Co. was awarded a gold medal in the “Strong Ale Beer” category for its Sopris Strong Ale. A gold medal was also earned by the “Scotch Strong Ale” beer category for its Deep Lake Scotch Ale. The World Beer Cup 2006 winners were selected by an international panel of 109 beer judges from a field of 2,221 entries received from 540 breweries in 56 countries. The owners at Glenwood Canyon are Ken Jones, Chip Holland and Jack Johnson.

Tracey Yajko, certified dog trainer and behavior counselor, owner of Pawsitive Dog Training, has recently been recognized as a member of the Roaring Fork Valley’s Heeling Partners. Tracey passed the Delta Society’s April 22 team evaluation with Portuguese Water Dog, Teal, for animal-assisted activities and therapy. Tracey is the kennel manager and shelter trainer for Colorado Animal Rescue. She teaches basic obedience at High Tails Dog and Cat Outfitters and assists Laura VanDyne, The Canine Consultant, with beginning agility class. She is a member of the Roaring Fork Kennel Club and the Association for Pet Dog Trainers.
