Christina Perri, a 2000 graduate of Aspen High School and currently a graduate student at Institut d’Etudes Politiques de Paris, was the lucky winner of a 2006 Land Rover Sport generously donated by Land Rover Roaring Fork, a Centre of the Rockies Company. The value of the donation is $59,350. Six hundred and forty $100 raffle tickets were sold by Jazz Aspen Snowmass with the prize drawing held on Saturday, July 22, at the annual JASCrescentCitySwing gala benefit event.Christina is the winner of an all-wheel drive, four-door, Tonga green 2006 Land Rover Sport with Aspen green leather interior. The Land Rover Sport is powered by a 4.4-liter, 300-horsepower engine.

Big John’s Building and Home Center hosted its first biannual Texas Hold ‘Em Customer Appreciation Tournament on July 28.Approximately 30 players gathered at the store for a catered dinner and a friendly game of poker. Mike Nemelka of Resort Mountain Billiards acted as the official game manager, assisted by his daughter, Jacy.Kevin Gibson won a DeWalt cordless drill for first place; Hal Harralson won a DeWalt circular saw for second place; and Todd Hurse won a Porter cable nail gun for third place.

Carpet One Glenwood Springs is holding the “Muddiest Buddy” contest to celebrate the relaunch of the Lees carpet brand.One lucky winner will be named the “Muddiest Buddy” and the official, Relax … it’s Lees spokes-pet.
