Judy Shaffer, vice president and manager with Alpine Bank in New Castle for the past eight years, has relocated to the Rifle downtown location of Alpine Bank. Judy’s role has been expanded to encompass lending, business development and marketing for the region spanning Glenwood Springs to Battlement Mesa. Originally from Grand Junction, she has been in banking and in this area for 32 years, and will celebrate her 16th year with Alpine Bank in March. Judy is a member of New Castle’s Lions Club and Chamber of Commerce, Coal Ridge High School Accountability Committee, and Friends of the Valley View Foundation. Troy “Bucky” Moser has traveled from the Alpine Bank Carbondale location to become the new vice president/manager at New Castle. A Carbondale native, Bucky attended Roaring Fork High School and the University of Northern Colorado. He has worked for Alpine Bank for six years, having spent three years in the Grand Junction area and the last three at the Carbondale location. He has been active in Trout Unlimited, Raising a Reader, and the Roaring Forks Sports Foundation. He has two daughters and his wife Lacey is the assistant principal at Rifle Middle School. Main Street Carbondale restaurants Six89 and Phat Thai, both owned by Chef Mark Fischer, have hired Backbone Media to provide public relations and marketing services. Backbone Media will focus on local, Front Range and national media coverage for the restaurants. Six89 offers an eclectic menu of seasonally appropriate and often locally sourced produce in a polished yet casual atmosphere.
