Charlotte Porter is the new managing director of the Wyly Community Art Center. Porter will work closely with Deborah Jones, executive director, to share administration, management and design of Wyly projects and programs. Jones will assume the new role of creative program director.Porter recently moved to the Roaring Fork valley from New York City, where she was responsible for fundraising and event planning for high-profile arts organizations, and managed marketing and sales for Sothebys in New York.

Russell Disberger and his company, Aspen Business Group, have joined Leadership Management Inc. and Morrell & Associates to offer executive leadership workshops beginning April 1. The program specializes in helping individuals to improve their ability to plan, organize and make use of their day more effectively. The Effective Personal Productivity program is designed for those with existing management responsibilities, from first-line managers to senior directors, who also want to develop as individuals, achieve goals and enjoy greater success. This program will be run as an open Leadership Forum and will help managers increase productivity, identify high payoff activities, deal with interruptions, enhance employee attitudes, overcome self-limiting obstacles, tackle key challenges, increase self-motivation, develop work teams, improve efficiency and communicate effectively. Registered architect Dennis Powell has joined Green Line Architects in downtown Carbondale. Dennis Powell graduated from Boston Architectural College in 1991 with a degree in architecture after receiving a bachelors degree in civil engineering and a masters degree in environmental engineering from Cornell University. He worked in Boston as an environmental engineer, eventually moving west to pursue both a new career in architecture and his love of skiing.
