Shannon Kyle with RE/MAX Country in Glenwood Springs has been awarded the accredited buyer representative (ABR) designation by the Real Estate Buyer’s Agent Council Inc. of the National Association of Realtors.

Shannon was required to successfully complete a comprehensive course in buyer representation and an elective course focusing on a buyer representation specialty.

Red Hill Animal Health Center of Carbondale has again received accreditation following a comprehensive evaluation by the American Animal Hospital Association. The evaluation includes a quality assessment review of the hospital’s facility, medical equipment, practice methods and pet health care management.

Only 15 percent of all small animal veterinary practices in the U.S. have achieved accreditation by the American Animal Hospital Association. In order to maintain accredited status, Red Hill Animal Health Center must continue to be evaluated regularly by the association’s consultants.

Alexandra de L’Arbre has been named account manager for Promo Communications. She returns to Aspen after working as a marketing associate for The Walking Co. in Santa Barbara, Calif. Alex lived in Aspen from 2005-07, working as a public relations coordinator for Promo.

Alex graduated from the University of Colorado-Boulder with a bachelor’s degree in journalism, and interned at the Boulder Daily Camera during her last year at CU.

Promo Communications was established by Maureen Poschman in 1999. The boutique PR firm specializes in strategic public relations and marketing communications with a focus on hospitality, ski and real estate clients, with a regional-, national- or international-based audience.

Spuds Subs n’ Suds is Carbondale’s newest gourmet deli, specializing in antibiotic- and hormone-free deli meats, Carbondale-raised all-natural hamburgers, and home-baked breads. Spuds Subs is located at 46 N. Fourth St., across the street from Steve’s Guitars.

Debra Keller, owner of The Dogg House in Carbondale and Basalt, recently attended a Grooming Workshop and Certification Program put on by the National Dog Groomers Association of America Inc. in Colorado Springs. It provided Deb with the opportunity to enhance her grooming skills, to stay current with industry trends and to exchange ideas, methods and opinions with colleagues.

Debra concluded the weekend workshop completing a practical and written examination for terriers. Her goal of becoming a master groomer will require two more equally rigorous training and testing programs and successful completion of the Master Groomers Examination.

The Graduate School of Banking at Colorado (GSBC), along with the Colorado Bankers Association, has appointed vice chairman and president of Alpine Bank Glen Jammaron to the GSBC board of trustees. Glen’s term will begin in July.

Glen was born and raised in Western Colorado and graduated from Western State College in 1984. He started working for Alpine Bank as a management trainee in 1985 and has worked in all aspects of banking, holding various positions including loan officer, bank president, president of operations, and currently as vice chairman and president.
