Spinal surgeon Sanjitpal Sonny Gill M.D. is the most recent addition to the Steadman Hawkins Clinics Summit County office. Dr. Gill began practice Sept. 2. Gill specializes in minimally invasive cervical and lumbar spinal surgery. Gill completed the renowned Steadman Hawkins Sports Medicine Foundation Fellowship program in 2005 before working at Steadman Hawkins Clinic of the Carolinas in Spartanburg, S.C. Prior to his tenure as a Steadman Hawkins Fellow, he completed a fellowship at the Emory Spine Center at Emory University in Atlanta.Gills medical acumen transcends the world of surgery to include numerous academic appointments, including the position of adjunct assistant professor, which he currently holds, in the department of bioengineering at Clemson University in Clemson, S.C. Gills academic work has been published in 14 medical publications, and he has authored or co-authored seven book chapters. Gills career includes team coverage for numerous professional and collegiate sports teams including: Colorado Rockies, Denver Broncos, University of Virginia Mens Lacrosse team during the ACC Tournament and serving the United States Ski & Snowboard Association. Gill is currently involved with the US Pro Cycling Championships, the Greenville Drive Minor League baseball team, serves as the team physician for the United States Ski & Snowboard Association and is a physician for the 2008 Ford Ironman Triathlon World Championships in Kona, Hawaii.The Steadman Hawkins Clinics have some of the best trained and most experienced physicians in the field of sports medicine and orthopedic surgery, experts at diagnosing and treating orthopaedic and sports medicine problems.

Peter Tibbetts, of Carbondale, has accepted the position as senior managing consultant with IBM Global Business Services, Strategy and Change Group. Peters primary responsibility is operations strategy, within the public sector, and will spend the majority of his time with clients in the Washington, D.C., area. Peter is a U.S. Navy veteran, and a graduate of Chaminade University of Honolulu. He is a senior member of the American Society for Quality, where he is a certified Six Sigma Black Belt and certified quality engineer. Peter is also the 2008-09 president of the Glenwood Springs Youth Hockey Association.
