Curt Marsden is the top salesperson for Vicki Lee Green Realtors for September. Curt has been selling real estate in Garfield County since 1988.

Jason Fletcher has been promoted to vice president. He graduated in June from Southwestern Graduate School of Banking, at Southern Methodist University. He started with Alpine in 2000 as a teller in the Vail location and has been at Alpine in Battlement Mesa for the last four years as the vice president and manager of that location. Jason is married to Karrie Fletcher and has two children.

Jody Bachr has been promoted to banking officer. She was born and raised in Beardstown, Ill. She graduated from Beardstown High School in 1976. She moved from Illinois in 1994 to Glenwood Springs with her husband, Lafe, and son, Alex. Jody has been with the bank for 10 years in the operations area of the Glenwood Springs bank. Jody is on the board of Junior Achievement in the Roaring Fork Valley.

For an accountant who wasnt interested in big numbers, Wes Wendland racked up some impressive figures.He and his business associate, Walt Dalby, partnered together in the accounting profession for 40 years. Wendland lived to see his firm, Dalby, Wendland & Co. P.C., enter its 60th year in the profession.What counted most for the man who co-founded the largest CPA firm in Western Colorado were the things that he couldnt count: like trust, respect and responsibility. Yet they were the foundational principles that guided his career and his life.Wendland, who died on Jan. 7 at the age of 84, was still a regular at the office, was proud of his 52 tax seasons, and knew the most important things in life could not be measured in mere numbers.

Perfect Unions Animal Rescue Foundation Inc. provides funding and supplies for other in-need animal rescue groups and wildlife sanctuaries in the Roaring Fork Valley, through tax exempt fundraising efforts. Donations may be sent to Perfect Unions Animal Rescue Inc., P.O. Box 167, New Castle, CO 81647; or drop off at any Bank of Colorado location.The first project will be to provide much-needed medical funding, supplies and a new transport vehicle for Valley Dog Rescue of Carbondale. Hours are 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Colorado River Engineering Inc. is celebrating its 10-year anniversary.
