Throughout November, Alpine Hospice team members from offices in Glenwood Springs and throughout Colorado visited 27 assisted living facilities and skilled nursing facilities throughout Western Colorado in association with “We Honor Veterans,” a program of the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization in collaboration with the Department of Veterans Affairs.

Alpine Hospice visited assisted living facilities in Glenwood Springs, Rifle and Carbondale including: OpenGate, Grace Healthcare, Crossroads, Ed Moore, Heritage Park, Mesa View and The Colorado State Veterans Nursing Home. Alpine Hospice presented certificates of appreciation and an American flag lapel pin to every veteran.

“We said the Pledge of Allegiance, sometimes a short prayer, and gave a short speech about how the Greatest Generation made America number one,” Andrea K. Uliano and Dennis Williams, Hospice Care Consultants, Alpine Hospice, said. “As hospice professionals our mission is to provide comfort and support at the end of life, and we want to honor and serve these veterans through the challenges they face from illness, isolation or traumatic life experiences.”

Dr. Scott Tesoro and the staff of Sopris Chiropractic are pleased to welcome Dr. Ashley Dolan to the practice.

Dolan graduated cum laude with a Doctorate of Chiropractic from the University of Western States in March 2011. She believes that it is important to spend time getting to know each patient so that she may tailor treatment to their individual needs. In addition to chiropractic care for the whole family, Dr. Ashley specializes in kinesio taping for sports injuries and safe, drug-free treatment of sinus conditions.

Tesoro admits that he was not looking to expand his practice, “but when I met Ashley I immediately knew that she would be a great complement to the practice I’ve built over the past 17 years. She is an excellent adjuster and believes in taking the time to develop individualized care for every patient.”

Dolan is currently seeing patients Monday through Friday in both the Carbondale and Willits offices. Call 970-927-9204 for more information or visit Soprischiropractic.com.
