Sandro Torres of Custom Body Fitness is making a free presentation titled “The Benefits of Exercise” at 9 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 9, at Mountain Family Health Center, 1905 Blake Ave. in Glenwood Springs. Paula Valenti will also be offering an Introduction to Zumba class. The events are part of National Health Center Week.

Parks Industries Motorsports & Performance is throwing an auto show called “Show My Ride” from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 18, at 1930 Railroad Ave. Suite 10 in Rifle. There will be free food and drinks, and it is open to the public. There will be lots of great prizes and giveaways including a GoPro Camera. Prior to coming on board, Kelly was certified on the Zultys IP telephone system and Freedom’s hosted telephone system. Kelly brings 20 years of continuous phone and data experience, including certifications on most Avaya products. including IP Office. In its 20th year of operation, TSC now has a technical team of six technicians and supports an extensive national and local phone / data base.

Bishop Plumbing & Heating announces that Kenan Sandifer has successfully passed his master plumbing examination, giving him recognition as a licensed master plumber. To qualify for the license, candidates must have five years of practical experience and pass the state examination.Sandifer joined Bishop Plumbing in 2007. His dedication and expertise in the field has been a major contributor to the Bishop Plumbing’s success. Bishop congratulates Kenan for his achievements.

After 13 years and countless recommendations to serve lunch the Miner’s Claim has opening for lunch this month. A business lunch from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Monday through Friday will feature an exciting, unique, continentally inspired menu. Fresh seafood, garden salads, pastas, classic sandwiches,and half-pound burgers with locally baked bread will compliment the menu.
