Julie Dodo announces that she is no longer working at Floyd’s Of Mayberry Barber Shop in Carbondale. Clearly CrossFit, started by lifelong local resident Barry Bovee in summer 2012, is a new CrossFit affiliate located at 2238 Mustang in Silt.

CrossFit is a supervised core strength and conditioning program that can be modified to each individual’s needs and levels of health and fitness. CrossFit helps people achieve competence in cardiovascular and respiratory endurance, stamina, strength, flexibility, power, speed, coordination, agility, balance and accuracy, all of which are essential for quality of life whether a person is young or elderly. Unlike many other fitness programs, the general focus of CrossFit is on functional movement. Specialty classes and personal training sessions are also offered.
