The Roaring Fork Business Resource Center has once again joined efforts with Colorado Mountain College and the Colorado Small Business Development Center (SBDC) Network to present an informative business seminar series. This spring, seminars will be held at Colorado Mountain College’s Glenwood Center at 1402 Blake Ave. Each seminar is just $35 and runs from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Thursday mornings in March and April. The seminars are designed to provide small business owners and entrepreneurs with the resources and tools they need to successfully run their organizations. Remaining seminar topics include: Marketing Your Small Business (March 21), Facebook & Linked-In for Business (March 28), Improving Your Sales (April 4), and Understanding Business Financials and Taxes (April 11). Jason Franke, PGA, has been promoted to the position of general manager of Battlement Mesa Golf Club. Jason joined Battlement Mesa in 2004 as an assistant golf professional and has been the head golf professional since 2006. He has been a class A member of the Professional Golfers Association of America since 2006. In this new position, Jason will be responsible for the operation of the golf facility in its entirety, including the golf shop, cart fleet, driving range, food and beverage, golf course maintenance, clubhouse maintenance and accounting. He will also continue to be available for golf lessons on an appointment basis. Johnny Goodman, PGA, will continue to be involved with the course in a consulting/advisory manner. He is now a distinguished Lifetime Member of the PGA because of his 39 years as a member of the organization.
