Business Health Forum takes place Thursday morning in Glenwood Springs

GLENWOOD SPRINGS, Colorado – The Glenwood Springs Chamber Resort Association is holding a Business Health Forum for the public to discuss health care reform Thursday morning at the Glenwood Springs Community Center.

The forum will provide a platform for discussion about costs, mandates, the “public option” and other current health care proposals and their impact on the business community. There will also be a representative from Garfield County Public Health on hand to answer questions regarding the H1N1 influenza.

Participants will have an opportunity to weigh in on the same questions and proposed fixes being debated by lawmakers. Participants will use live polling technology to provide immediate, anonymous feedback.

The Business Health Forum is a nonpartisan nonprofit organization dedicated to educating the business community about health care issues and engaging employers in promoting solutions to the health care crisis.

The forum will also track results of Thursday’s discussion, put them in context and share them with decision makers, helping to amplify the business community’s voice in the reform debate.

The event is open to the public, and bagels and coffee will be provided by Sacred Grounds Coffeehouse and Delicatessen.

Sponsors include Colorado Mountain College, Glenwood Insurance Agency and Glenwood Medical Associates.
