Is this a franchise?

No, this is a co-op. House of Flavors in Michigan makes the ice cream to KaleidoScoops specifications and ships it nationwide. There are 83 locations in 22 states.

What do you do?

We sell ice cream cones (44 flavors at a time), sundaes, shakes, malts, yogurt smoothies and custom ice cream cakes.

Who are your customers?

Local families and vacationing guests.

What’s unique about your business?

More choices of flavors and the best-tasting ice cream to be found anywhere. I did research for two years before settling on KaleidoScoops. The quality is unsurpassed!

What’s good about doing business here? We have the best customers in the world. Our customers are happy! I was an insurance agent, and believe me, I know the difference. It is a privilege to live and grow up (GSHS Class of ’62) in such a beautiful place.

What has been your most successful offering?

Expertly decorated custom ice cream cakes for any occasion: 20 to choose from immediately, or 48 hours’ notice to do custom flavors and decorations. Beverley has won a national cake decorating award sponsored by the Decopack Corp.

What’s next for your business?

Take care of our loyal and long-term clients and, of course, attract new customers.
