Business plan up for review

GLENWOOD SPRINGS ” The fast-growing Devereux Road corridor could soon be getting another business and new building.

All State Communications, a cellular phone and two-way radio dealer, will show council its preliminary plans to move to a lot in the Colorado River Industrial Park.

According to the company’s application for a major development permit, annexation and rezoning of the property, the building would be 4,000 square feet.

Council will take a look at the application at its regular meeting at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at City Hall, but no formal action will be taken on the application.

Also on the agenda, council will:

– Hold a work session on the aquatic center at 5 p.m.

– Decide whether to award a bid for the South Park subdivision street reconstruction.

– Consider new rules pertaining to local preference on those who bid jobs with the city.

– Consider an ordinance that could raise the fees when animals are impounded by the city.

– Consider changing the name of the Housing for Tomorrow Commission to the Housing Commission.

– Consider the city manager hiring process.
