Mountain Family Health Centers among best companies to work for
Mountain Family Health Centers has been named a 2015 Best Companies to Work for in Colorado finalist by the Society for Human Resource Management. It is in the top 10 of the medium-sized companies, and final results will be announced at an awards ceremony in October where the top three companies in the state will be recognized. MFHC is the only western Colorado company to make the finalist list in the medium-sized category. 100 companies participated before narrowed it was down to the top 25. Ten of the 25 are mid-sized like Mountain Family Health Centers. The top three in each category will be awarded at a luncheon, gala awards and workshop on Oct. 30, at the Westin Hotel in Westminster.
Mind Springs Health named top health care company at 28th annual ColoradoBiz awards
Widely considered the most competitive professional awards in the state for Colorado companies, the ColoradoBiz Top Company Awards has named Mind Springs Health, the largest provider of mental health and substance abuse therapy and services on the Western Slope, the Top Health Care Company of 2015.
ColoradoBiz, a bimonthly publication dedicated to covering Colorado economy, business, finance and technology, has recognized top companies in the state since 1988. This year, the program identified exceptional businesses in 12 categories at the 28th annual awards ceremony Aug. 20 at the Denver Center of Performing Arts. Mind Springs Health, one of three finalists in the health care category, was recognized for its superlative successes in financial performance and growth, community service, operations, timing, sustained excellence, competition within the market, perseverance and noteworthy achievements.
In addition to receiving a notable crystal trophy that will, in Stanley Cup-fashion, circulate all Mind Springs offices and locations, Mind Springs Health’s story is featured in ColoradoBiz’ September/October issue.
Torres publishes weight loss book
Sandro Torres of Custom Body Fitness has published his first book, “Lose Weight Permanently: Effective Body Transformation Through Lifestyle Changes.” The book is available on Amazon or in hard copy at Custom Body Fitness in the La Fontana Plaza in Carbondale.
The book is written in novel format and presents information through true stories.
Torres is a certified personal, health coach and weight management specialist. He founded Custom Body Fitness in 2010.
