Bullock & Hinkey Real Estate has hired three new agents.

Ryan Bosco has an entrepreneurial spirit and a deeply rooted family history in the Glenwood Springs area. Having grown up in a town that has so much to offer he had many pleasurable years of working with visitors in various positions ranging from tourism to hospitality. Only after living in several different towns and cities around Colorado did he realize where “home” truly was, and he returned to this valley. Ryan is excited to become more involved in the world of real estate brokerage and property management as he looks forward to the challenges and pleasures associated with working with buyers, sellers, property owners, and tenants to find property that is a true fit.



Carter Sharaf specializes in commercial and business sales. Marketing and advertising a business to get the highest possible price without letting anyone know the business is for sale is called business brokerage, Sharaf’s specialty. He has bought and sold several businesses in the valley and understands the intricacies of selling or buying a business.

Glenwood Springs Chamber magazine wins first place in national competition

The Glenwood Springs Chamber Resort Association won the first place Gold Award in the 2015 North American Travel Journalists Association (NATJA) Awards Competition in the Visitor’s Guide category. This awards competition, now in its 24th year, honors the “best of the best” in travel writing, photography and destination marketing that cover all aspects of the travel industry worldwide.

NATJA is the second largest travel media association in North America. Members include travel media professionals, publications, destination marketing organizations, and other travel marketing agencies. Members are provided with professional development workshops, online tools and networking opportunities. NATJA also publishes TravelWorld International Magazine (www.travelworldmagazine.com).

24 Day Fat Loss Challenge winners

Custom Body Fitness has recently completed its 24 Day Fat Loss Challenge. Out of 25 participants, 14 completed the contest. Winners were determined by percentage fat lost compared to starting fat percent, making it fair for someone with a low starting fat percent, and a points system based on participation and development of good habits.

Following are the top three finishers with the highest Results numbers, where S is starting fat percent, E is ending fat percent, F is fat loss percent (S minus E), % is F times 100 divided by starting fat percent, P is points (determined by attendance, punctuality, workout intensity, cardiovascular training and others) and R is results (% multiplied by P):

Nevi Mariadi won a hairstyle valued at $150 from Hair Bar and $100 from Custom Body Fitness. Monica Groom won an acupuncture session valued at $120 from Gaiatree Acupuncture.
