Alex Svac joins Glenwood Chiropractic Center

Dr. Alex Svac has joined Glenwood Chiropractic Center. Svac is from Arizona where he has been using chiropractic to treat families and athletes including professional baseball players, UFC athletes and NFL players. He was also team doctor for the AZ Cardinals cheerleaders. Dr. Svac has specialized training in the Graston technique, a soft tissue therapy that is used in all the major sports organizations in the world, as well training in biomechanics and functional rehab.

While his specialty lies in sports rehab, Svac treats patients of all ages and from all walks of life. He utilizes chiropractic, ultrasound, cold-laser, spinal decompression and more to treat injuries involving the entire body.

Structural engineer Scott Hargrove joins CTL Thompson

CTL Thompson, a full-service geotechnical, structural, environmental and materials engineering firm, has hired structural engineer Scott Hargrove to join its Fort Collins office, to support its growing structural engineering department.

With more than 10 years of experience in residential, commercial and industrial structural/civil design, Hargrove brings additional expertise to the Fort Collins division of the award-winning firm.

In addition to adding to the structural engineering team in CTL’s Fort Collins and Wyoming offices, Hargrove’s substantial expertise in residential design and construction for mountain communities will support CTL’s range of services in its Summit County and Glenwood Springs offices.

Hargrove earned a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Colorado Boulder and will be completing his master of science degree in structural engineering at the University of Colorado Denver in 2016.

Cripple Creek Backcountry stays on a roll with expansion to Aspen Highlands

Doug Stenclik and Randy Young had a feeling that ski touring — everything from uphilling at ski resorts to more adventuresome trips to the backcountry — would surge in popularity, so in 2011 they took a chance and opened a shop dedicated to the niche sport. It paid off and they have continued to grow. This winter they teamed with Aspen Expeditions to take over retail operations at the base of Aspen Highlands.
